TYRE CHURCH MUSIC AND YOUTH MINISTRY

MUSIC MINISTRY

Over 70 students have enrolled in the music school in Tyre. Through music, students are learning about Jesus and are accepting him as their Savior. A number of these new believers are now serving in the Children’s Ministry.

The vision for the Tyre Church is that it would become a sending church for pastors and music directors—with a heart for evangelism and discipling God’s people. The Music Ministry also aims to establish music programs in churches across Lebanon and throughout the Middle East.

YOUTH MINISTRY

During the week, Jeremy and Zaheda work with 50 young teenagers in the Youth Ministry. These students learn about Jesus through one-on-one discipleship, small groups, and two large Bible study groups. Family visits are an important part of the ministry, too.

Many students have become believers or are actively seeking the Lord through the games and activities that take place in Tyre.

Over 150 children attend Children’s Ministry programs each week. Children learn about Christ through Scripture memorization, arts and crafts, and other fun activities. On Friday afternoons, worship is led by student leaders.

The Children’s Ministry is steadily growing, and there are now 12 student leaders who help with the seven different classes over the course of three days.

Jeremy and Zaheda make regular visits to three refugee camps, located just minutes away from the church. The conditions in these camps are heartbreaking, and the makeshift tents provide little protection from the cold. Many of the families are eating moldy bread and most children are not attending school.

Tyre Church distributed over 80 blankets to families, and also organized a music concert for the refugees. The team is visiting individual families on a regular basis, too.
